Jobfloor Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Jobfloor platform. By accessing or using Jobfloor, whether as a job seeker, employer, or visitor, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

1. About Jobfloor

Jobfloor is an AI-powered job matching and career management platform that connects job seekers with employers. Jobfloor operates as a technology intermediary only. Specifically:

  • Jobfloor is not an employer, recruitment agency, or staffing provider.
  • Jobfloor does not participate in, influence, or make hiring decisions.
  • Jobfloor does not guarantee employment, interviews, or candidate selection.
  • Jobfloor facilitates connections between users but is not a party to any employment relationship or agreement formed through the platform.

2. Eligibility & Account Registration

To use Jobfloor, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age (or the legal working age in your jurisdiction, if higher).
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering.
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials and notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
  • Not impersonate any person, entity, or organisation.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Jobfloor may suspend or permanently terminate accounts at its discretion, including where these Terms are violated or where we reasonably suspect fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity.

3. Job Seeker Obligations

As a job seeker using Jobfloor, you agree to:

  • Provide truthful, accurate, and up-to-date information in your profile, CV, and all applications.
  • Not misrepresent your qualifications, skills, experience, or identity.
  • Not submit fraudulent, speculative, or bad-faith applications.
  • Not use the platform to harvest employer contact details or conduct unsolicited commercial outreach.
  • Not upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights or contains unlawful material.

Jobfloor's AI matching features provide job recommendations based on your profile and behaviour on the platform. These are algorithmic suggestions only; they do not constitute career advice, and Jobfloor makes no guarantee that suggested roles are suitable for you.

4. Employer Obligations

Employers and organisations posting roles on Jobfloor must:

  • Post only genuine, lawful, and currently available job opportunities.
  • Provide accurate information about their company, role, remuneration, and working conditions.
  • Comply with all applicable employment laws, including equality, anti-discrimination, and data protection legislation (including the UK GDPR and the Equality Act 2010).
  • Not post roles that are misleading, exploitative, or designed to collect candidate data for non-recruitment purposes.
  • Handle all candidate personal data lawfully, fairly, and in accordance with applicable data protection law. Employers act as independent data controllers in respect of candidate data they receive.
  • Not use candidate data for any purpose other than evaluating suitability for the advertised role without the candidate's explicit consent.

Jobfloor reserves the right to remove any job posting at its sole discretion, including where it does not comply with these Terms, our posting standards, or applicable law.

5. AI Features & Match Scoring

Jobfloor uses artificial intelligence to provide job match scores, recommendations, and other features designed to improve the job search and hiring experience. By using the platform, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated match scores, recommendations, and outputs are provided for guidance purposes only and do not constitute professional advice of any kind.
  • Jobfloor does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated output.
  • AI models may be updated, retrained, or modified at any time, which may affect outputs.
  • Employers must not use AI match scores as the sole basis for hiring decisions. Human review and independent judgement must be applied in all recruitment decisions.
  • You agree that Jobfloor may analyse your activity, profile data, CV content, and platform interactions to improve and train its AI systems, subject to our Privacy Policy.

Note: Where Jobfloor's AI features are used in connection with automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, Jobfloor will comply with its obligations under applicable data protection law, including providing appropriate human review mechanisms.

6. Data, Privacy & AI Training

By using Jobfloor, you agree that:

  • Jobfloor may collect, process, and analyse user data, including profile information, CV content, job applications, search behaviour, and platform interactions.
  • This data may be used to operate and improve the platform, personalise your experience, and train and refine Jobfloor's AI systems.
  • Jobfloor may engage trusted third-party processors to assist with data analysis, AI processing, and platform operations. All processors are contractually bound to handle data in accordance with applicable law.
  • Jobfloor acts as a data controller in respect of user data it collects directly. Employers act as independent data controllers in respect of candidate data they receive.

Your use of the platform is also governed by Jobfloor's Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please review it carefully. In the event of conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy on data matters, the Privacy Policy shall prevail.

7. Third-Party Job Distribution & Integrations

Jobfloor may distribute job listings to third-party platforms and job boards (such as Indeed, LinkedIn, Reed, and others) and may integrate with third-party tools and services. In respect of such integrations:

  • Jobfloor is not responsible for the performance, availability, or conduct of third-party platforms.
  • Jobfloor is not responsible for how third parties handle data shared with or collected by them.
  • Links to external platforms do not constitute endorsement by Jobfloor.
  • Employers who opt to distribute listings to third-party boards remain responsible for ensuring those listings comply with the terms and policies of those platforms.

8. User Content & Moderation

Users are solely responsible for content they upload, post, or submit on Jobfloor, including CVs, job listings, profile information, and messages. You must not submit content that:

  • Is false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent.
  • Infringes any third party's intellectual property rights.
  • Is discriminatory, harassing, offensive, or unlawful.
  • Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code.

Jobfloor reserves the right to review, remove, or restrict any content or account at its sole discretion and without prior notice. Users may report content or accounts for review via the platform. Jobfloor is not obligated to monitor all content but will act on credible reports of abuse, fraud, or unlawful activity.

9. Prohibited Activities

You may not use Jobfloor to:

  • Use automated bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other tools to access or extract data from the platform without prior written consent.
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, overload, or compromise the platform's security or infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the platform or its technology.
  • Circumvent any access controls, authentication systems, or rate limits.
  • Engage in any activity that violates applicable law, including data protection, employment, or consumer protection legislation.
  • Use the platform for any purpose other than legitimate job seeking or recruitment.

10. Beta & Experimental Features

Jobfloor may from time to time offer experimental or early-access features ("Beta Features"). These are provided strictly on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and:

  • May contain errors, bugs, or incomplete functionality.
  • May be modified, suspended, or withdrawn at any time without notice.
  • Are not covered by any service level commitments or uptime guarantees.

Your use of Beta Features is entirely at your own risk.

11. Platform Availability & No Guarantees

While Jobfloor endeavours to maintain platform availability, we do not guarantee that:

  • The platform will be available at all times or free from interruption, error, or data loss.
  • Job applications submitted through the platform will be received, reviewed, or acted upon by employers.
  • Messages or communications sent via the platform will be delivered or read.
  • Search results, match scores, or recommendations will be accurate or complete.

Use of the platform is at your own risk. Jobfloor excludes all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

12. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in the Jobfloor platform, including its technology, software, design, branding, content, and AI systems, is owned by or licensed to Jobfloor. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of any part of the platform without prior written consent from Jobfloor.

By submitting content to Jobfloor (such as a CV or job listing), you grant Jobfloor a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, store, process, and display that content for the purposes of operating and improving the platform, subject to our Privacy Policy.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jobfloor shall not be liable for:

  • Any hiring outcome, employment decision, or failure to secure employment.
  • The conduct, acts, or omissions of any employer or job seeker using the platform.
  • Any loss of data, revenue, profit, business opportunity, or goodwill.
  • Any indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform.
  • Any inaccuracy in AI-generated outputs, match scores, or recommendations.

Nothing in these Terms limits Jobfloor's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Note: If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable legislation are not affected by these Terms.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jobfloor, its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, damages, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms.
  • Content you submit to the platform.
  • Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

15. Termination

Jobfloor may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, where:

  • You have breached these Terms.
  • We reasonably suspect fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity.
  • We are required to do so by law or regulatory authority.

You may close your account at any time via your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Jobfloor's rights regarding data retained in accordance with its Privacy Policy shall survive termination.

16. Changes to These Terms

Jobfloor reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Where changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice via the platform or by email. Continued use of the platform following such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent interim or injunctive relief in any competent jurisdiction.

18. General

Entire agreement

These Terms, together with Jobfloor's Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Jobfloor in relation to your use of the platform.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Waiver

Failure by Jobfloor to enforce any right under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right.

Assignment

Jobfloor may assign its rights and obligations under these Terms. You may not assign your rights without Jobfloor's prior written consent.
